Formally planned as a pop-up exhibition, but due to strict regulations limiting large parties because of the COVID 19 pandemic, 2000 Years of Women has become a virtual exhibition. Using Hannah Jewell’s words from her anthology book, She Caused a Riot: 100 Unknown Women Who Built Cities, Sparked Revolutions, and Massively Crushed It, this is a visual storytelling experience about powerful women and their stories over the course of two millennia.

The challenge was to create an engaging and interactive online exhibition featuring 14 women from Hannah Jewell’s book, She Caused a Riot: 100 Unknown Women Who Built Cities, Sparked Revolutions, and Massively Crushed It.

I combined both illustration and photography, and designed the site with the idea that the mind should be both stimulated and engaged through compelling imagery and visual storytelling.
